Zoë Hanley – wildlife ecologist, outdoor enthusiast, certified ThetaHealing® practitioner, animal communicator
Contact Zoë: zoe@animaluniversity.com, Denver, CO
Zoë Hanley is AU’s Director of Research Studies, as well as a wildlife ecologist, outdoor enthusiast, certified ThetaHealing® practitioner, and an animal communicator. To achieve Zoë’s childhood dream of working with wild animals she obtained a B.S. and M.S. in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology. Her experience with wild animals ranges from caretaking and rehabilitating reptiles and amphibians at a wildlife education center to researching bobcat and fisher habitat associations in the Appalachian Mountains.
In addition to her passion for animals and nature, Zoë has always been interested in intuitive/energy work. In 2008, while training to become a certified ThetaHealing® practitioner, she learned intuitive communication between humans and the natural world was possible. This sparked an interest in combining her academic ecological background with that of interspecies communication. Zoe’s goal is to holistically address scientific questions humans have about the natural world in an attempt to help alleviate human-wildlife conflict. She is conducting research with Animal University to scientifically validate interspecies communication using wildlife populations.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” - Mary Oliver, “The Summer Day”
My name is Sara, and my story is about beginnings. There are schools of thought that define us as a result of what we have done, and what we do today. If I were to define myself in such a way, I would say, “My name is Sara. I am an addict, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a life partner, a Life Coach, an animal lover, a friend…” You get the picture.
