…can till your soil but only you can grow happiness
Thank you, Marcus Proust, for your beautiful quote: “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” May they set an example for us to emulate and find in our own lives.
For in my work I meet many who are not as happy as they wish and struggle to find ‘it.’ The IT is right where they left it, perhaps another life time ago, last week or maybe in the wee hours of the morning when the sun shines in and awakens only the body and not the soul – enough.
So, next time one feels a little down, incomplete, not good enough or just out of sorts, may this quote serve as a reminder that we truly are the tillers or our own emotional soil. Yes those happy people can inspire but don’t forget, they are trying to tend to their garden too.
