Animal Communicator and New Animal University Member Cindi and I had a great conversation yesterday. In our time together a common point kept creeping into our exchange. I couldn’t put my finger on it exactly until Cindi boiled it down into a simple question:
“Why is that when my enthusiasm is really high my very well-meaning friends and family will step in and cut it like a cord with their favorite word – ‘but!’ Too many times I hear them use that word followed by – ‘get a real job.’
Wow! That’s a core digger if there was one. But it’s true. In my experience in this very new field, it is difficult for those who are not in to really getting what we are up to.
The question is, do you fight tooth and nail to make your point or back off gracefully and let them ‘think what they want to.’ That’s your call…no perfect answer here…just maybe a little word to the wise – it’s not going away so figuring out how you wish to handle this toughy is advised to be a priority so as not to be caught off guard because of a silly 3-letter word, but.
